For Adults…

1st Quarter Study

Whether they’ve attended church for a few weeks or their entire lives, adults love the clear, easy-to-understand chronological overview of the Bible used in this unique curriculum! Watch as men and women who have “heard it all before” make the connections that have been left out by sporadic and

topical teaching approaches. And parents love that they learn the very same topics at the same time as their children—so the entire family can easily discuss the Bible more naturally throughout the week!

Answers Bible Curriculum covers the entire Bible in chronological order. It is designed and written to provide answers to the issues that confront today’s culture through the media, school, friends, etc. ABC provides a thorough understanding of the authority and primary teachings of Scripture. All ages will be equipped to defend the Bible, and become conformed to the image of Christ, as they apply God’s Word in their everyday lives.

For Kids…
Our children will benefit from studying the same topics at the same time as the rest of the family, in a format that is specifically geared for their age level.

The children’s ministry, K.I.D.S. Connection, meets on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

Answers Bible Curriculum emphasizes these key concepts:
  • The Bible is Trustworthy – We can trust all of God’s Word.
  • God’s Attributes – God’s attributes are displayed throughout the Bible.
  • Chronological/Historical Teaching – The Bible presents true history, not just “stories.”
  • The Bible’s Redemption – God’s plan of redemption is woven throughout Scripture.
  • Apologetics – We must be ready to give an answer for what we believe.
  • Life Application – We are to live in light of what the Bible teaches.

What are people saying about Sunday School?

“My name is Emily Campbell. My husband, Jeremiah, and I have been attending Boones Creek Bible Church for several months now. We both were saved when we were young. Two years ago, just after we got married, we began visiting churches in the area trying to find one that we both agreed on and that we could call home. We truly had a difficult time finding a church we both really liked and where we both felt comfortable. Our dear friends, Jesse and Leah Scott, continually asked us to visit their church and we finally decided to do so. To be honest, visiting churches can be rather nerve-racking and especially visiting a new Sunday school class. I was always afraid I would be judged and people would ask, “Why are you just now coming to church” or other uncomfortable questions such as this. However, the first time I attended the 20s Sunday school class at BCBC, I immediately felt comfortable and at home. My first Sunday school class happened to be just as everyone in the church and all Sunday school classes were beginning to study Hebrews. I can honestly say that I’ve learned more about the word of God in my short time here, than I ever have. Hebrews is a powerful book! It was really amazing how much the book of Hebrews truly coincided with my life at the time. This 20s Sunday school class has helped change my life. Not only do I truly look forward to Sunday mornings, but each and every day I apply what I’m learning to my life. I’ll be in the middle of doing something, or I’ll act in a way that I know God wouldn’t approve of, and then all of a sudden, something clicks in my head and I’ll remember what we talked about in Sunday school! When this happens, I immediately change my actions and try to act in a way that is pleasing to God. This Sunday school class has not only helped my personal relationship with God, but it’s helped improve my marriage tremendously. We’re witnessing God working in our lives every day and we couldn’t be more blessed or grateful for this church and how much attending BCBC has helped us. Just as we all learned in Hebrews, Chapter 5, I needed milk, and was not ready for solid foods. At this point, I’m finally maturing and growing in Christ! I’m certainly not ready to have steak and potatoes just yet, but my goal is to get there!
Currently in Sunday school, we’re all reading a book titled Out of Commission, which is simply continuing to bring our class closer together and closer to God. The purpose of this book is to lead Christians back to the Great Commission, which involves spreading the gospel among the world. I truly believe this book and what we’re currently learning in Sunday school will help bring this church, as a whole, closer together. We’re all learning more about what God expects of us and we’re preparing to go out into the community and begin soulwinning. I know everyone at BCBC will work together as one big team. We all have one thing in common, that is CHRIST LIVING INSIDE OF US! This fact can only bring this church closer together.
If you haven’t been attending Sunday school, you’re missing out! This is coming from someone who was too nervous to attend for a long time. It doesn’t matter what age you are or what class you’re in, attending Sunday school here will help strengthen your relationship with God. It will also help reignite your passion for Christ, just as it did for my husband and I, and you’ll be fired up and ready to go just like that day when you came to know Christ as your Lord and Savior. Thank you to everyone at BCBC who has made us feel so welcome. We are truly grateful. GOD BLESS!”

“This week Pastor C posed this question for our our sunday school class… What has your class done for you spiritually?

Words cannot express how much I love my sunday school class and what it has done for me spiritually, but I will try. My husband and I had just given birth to our first child when we started attending BCBC. We really didn’t “fit” in anywhere and werent growing  spiritually. Our ss class gave us a place to fit… a place where we would be discipled in our life stage. James and I weren’t into the things that most others were that were in their early/mid-twenties. Our class welcomed us with open arms and accepted us for our quirks (and our love of Kentucky basketball.) The other students in our class found a common ground with us and did all they could to pray with, yes WITH, not just for, and disciple us.The second thing our Sunday school class did for us spititually was teach us how to really disect what we were reading as well as look for ways to apply that to our lives at the stage we are in. It also taught us how to be consistent in bible reading by giving us weekly assignments to work on. Discipleship is always where the focus is… developing new believers and growing them in their faith. The growth I personally experienced has been so wonderful and I am eager to continue growing, learning, and serving as I use the skills taught in my class.”  – Kimberly Ledford
