Children’s Ministries

It is our privilege to serve families and children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we endeavor to do this, by God’s grace, is through the children’s ministries at BCBC. All of our children’s workers are caring volunteers who must pass a background check by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Our desire is to share Jesus Christ with children and teens so that they may trust in Him for salvation and with their lives.

Nursery

Nursery ministry is available for all church services (Adult Electives, Sunday Morning Gathering). We have a pager system that allows for easy and quiet notification for parents to help meet the needs of their little ones. Nursery is provided for all newborns, infants, and toddlers through age 2. Two-year olds will attend Sunday School and return to the nursery for church time. Our current Pioneer Club ministry also calls for two-year olds to attend class. When Pioneer Club is not in session, these children will attend the nursery.

Sunday School
These classes are age appropriate and take place during the Adult/Teen elective time. The teachers use a curriculum that teaches key Bible lessons. The classes use worksheets that are fun and engaging for the kids.

Children’s Church

Children’s church is available most Sunday mornings for children ages 2-6. All children 2 and older begin the service with their family in the auditorium and are dismissed to this ministry. Please note that restrooms are located close to this meeting space, however, diaper changing areas are not. Children who need changed or who have an accident will have their parents notified to take care of this situation.

* Please note that for all children’s ministry classes, teachers will work with children through any behavior issues to the best of their ability. If a child is uncontrollable by the teacher, parents will be notified to take care of this situation.

Pastor’s Pals

In the first part of the Sunday morning service, Pastor C calls the children up to the front for a brief, practical Bible lesson. It is a blessing to see the children answer questions, sing songs and look at whatever surprise Pastor C might have.

Vacation Bible School

During the summer, we put on a VBS that all children in the area are welcome to attend! VBS enables children to participate in games, songs, and crafts, and most importantly, grow closer to God or learn about Jesus for the first time!

The Wilds Christian Camp

This special ministry that BCBC has been a part of for many years continues to challenge our children, teens, men, women, families and others to live godly and walk with God. With a well trained staff, secluded mountain setting and abundant facilities, this camp offers strong preaching and blessed fellowship. We schedule one week every summer and several other activities throughout the year to encourage God’s people with the Word.
